With all the Holiday hustle and bustle, Holiday stress could be at its peak. Here are some tips to go about it.

  • · Learn to say no. You could feel resentful and overwhelmed when you always say yes even when you don’t really feel like saying it. If you can’t say no to your boss if he/she asks you to work overtime, try to remove something else from your schedule or agenda that day.
  • · Stick to healthy habits. Don’t make the holidays a free-for-all. Overindulgence only contributes to your stress and guilt. Get plenty of sleep and physical activity.
  • · Take a breather. Some time for yourself will do you good. Spending just 15 minutes alone, without distractions, will free you from stress and give you peace and quiet.
  • · Find professional help if need be. In spite of your best efforts, you could still feel persistently sad or anxious, plagued by physical complaints, unable to sleep, irritable and hopeless, and unable to face routine chores. If this persists for a stretch of time, talk to your doctor or a mental health professional.
